Various social groups in Selsella have written to the West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner on the lack of punctuality among government staff and officers in at least six offices, including State Bank of India.
The ASWA, FKJGP, GSMC, GSU, Mothers’ Union and ADE said employees in the Block Development Office, CHC, Veterinary Dispensary Office, ICDS, Selsella Distribution Sub-Division office and SBI do not arrive at their offices at 10 am.
“Timely functioning of government offices is crucial for providing effective and efficient services to the people. Unfortunately, this issue has been affecting the residents of Selsella, and we are facing difficulties as a result of these delays,” the groups said.
Seeking the DC’s immediate action the groups said punctuality is a fundamental aspect of good governance which is essential to maintain public trust and effective public services delivery.
