A school and some houses were damaged in a storm that lashed a village in West Khasi Hills today morning.
According to reports from the area, the storm hit Nongdiwah village today morning at around 5 am.
The storm also uprooted roofs of St. Dominic Upper Primary School and two houses.
One person was also injured and he has been shifted to Nongstoiñ Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
Nongstoiñ Block Development Officer, Clement P. Mawkon said that officials from the block office will visit the village tomorrow to assess the damage.
