Shillong, Jan 11: The Shillong branch of the State Bank of India celebrated a century of dedicated service to the people of Meghalaya with a grand function at the U Soso Tham Auditorium here today. The event was themed ‘Celebrating a Milestone of Service, Trust & Commitment to the Community’.
Shillong MP Ricky AJ Syngkon, the chief guest, praised SBI’s century-long contribution to nation-building and regional development.
The occasion featured the inauguration of a heritage gallery, release of a special centenary stamp and cultural performances.
Senior bank officials, valued customers and members of the public attended the event.
