In commemoration of Meghalaya’s 50th anniversary of statehood, Sankardev College will release a documentary entitled ‘Meghalaya’s Journey: Visions, Achievements and Challenges’.
The project has been undertaken by the college’s honours students in the Departments of Political Science and History under the guidance of the heads and faculty members of the departments and was sponsored by the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) Meghalaya.
This documentary features interviews with some of the pioneers of the Hill State Movement, along with academics, public representatives and leaders of the community, past and present, across the social spectrum.
A promotional video has been launched and can be viewed on YouTube, a press release from the college said today.
