The foundation stone for an urban Primary Health Centre (PHC) for the Greater Lumparing area was unveiled by local MLA Sanbor Shullai on Saturday.
The land was donated for free by the Dorbar Shnong of Lower Lumparing and the Lumparing Sports Club.
Shullai lauded the Health Department and thanked the residents for their participation in making the project, funded through the Special Plan Assistance (SPA) possible.
The programme was chaired by Rangbah Shnong of Lower Lumparing Doncaster Shabong. Other dignitaries who attended the programme were Rangbah Shnong of Upper Lumparing HB Wahlang and Rangbah Shnong of Kynjat Phutbol-Riat Laban Shaiphar Wahlang.
