Cabinet minister and South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai today inaugurated two new roads at Lower Lumparing.
During the programme, Shullai expressed his gratitude to the landowners for their generosity in donating their land that made the road construction possible. The roads were built at a cost of Rs crore.
He announced that he will compensate all the landowners and groups who have donated lands for road construction in the locality, including land donated for the construction of the Sanbor Shullai Road.
“I have asked the Dorbar Shnong to give me the list of the names of the landowners and organizations that donated land for road construction. I will compensate them in a special programme to be held soon,” he said.
He also said that he will see that all drains are covered to prevent damage to pipes and that all water tanks are fenced to prevent any pollution and littering around them.
