Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Minister, Sanbor Shullai, today inaugurated the liquid nitrogen plant, newly-constructed bull farm, intra district liquid nitrogen transport vehicles and dispatch unit building under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission, at the Central Semen Bank, Intensive Cattle Development Project, Upper Shillong.
Addressing the gathering, Shullai lauded the efforts put in by the department in developing various livestock projects that, he said, have been a blessing to the farmers of the state. He also laid emphasis on the steps taken by the department in combating African Swine Fever, which is a lead cause of concern to farmers.
The minister also launched the official website and logo of the department.
