On eve of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, cabinet minister and South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai today paid a visit to the Madina Masjid in Jhalupara and addressed the Muslim community.
During his visit, he thanked the Muslim community for their support since 2008 when he was first elected as an MLA.
The Bharatiya Janata Party legislator spoke of his long association with the Muslim community and said that he will ensure that peace and communal harmony will always prevail in the constituency and all the people irrespective of caste, creed and gender shall never be divided in the area.
Shullai appealed to all Muslims to pray for brotherhood and unity during the holy month of Ramadan and let peace prevail not only in Shillong and but the entire state.
