Eight voluntary institutions were benefitted from the discretionary grant 2022-23 distributed by South Shillong MLA, Sanbor Shullai yesterday.
Shullai, who is also the chairman of the Monitoring cum Implementation Committee of 19th South Shillong Constituency extended assistance of Rs 2.60 lakh to these institutions for organising various social welfare programmes for students, youths and general public for the year 2022.
The beneficiaries were Society for Empowerment Education & Development (SEED), Jhalupara, Harijan Community Welfare Society, Five Star Club, Mynsain Lumparing, Nepali Sahitya Parishad, Jhalupara, Lumparing Women’s Cultural Society, Mynsain Lumparing, Muay Thai Association of Meghalaya, Madan Laban, East Khasi Hills Taxi Welfare Association, Laban Last Stop and Symbol of Sneh Society, Rilbong.
