BJP MLA Sanbor Shullai who is also the chairman of MCIC 19th South Shillong Constituency yesterday provided financial assistance, gift hampers and certificates to medical staff, Asha workers, Aganwadi workers, mortuary van drivers and dead body management team of 19th South Shillong constituency who have render novel and tremendous service and assisting district administration in combatting the Covid-19 pandemic.
The MLA provided the assistance amounting to Rs 4 lakh from his salary. He also thanked the Covid warriors for their role in fighting the pandemic during the lockdown and saluted the health workers all across the State for their contribution in fighting the pandemic.
Applauding the effort of all frontline worker and also the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Deputy Commissioner, doctors, magistrates and policemen whose initiatives at the local level has helped the State government to contain Covid-19, Shullai said that in spite of the second wave of the pandemic the MDA government under the leadership of Conrad Sangma has taken initiatives to resolve the financial crisis of the state.
Shullai said that he would continue to provide assistance to the Covid warriors for their role in combating the pandemic.
