Over 1,650 enthusiastic youth from Shillong and its neighbouring regions gathered for the annual Youth Fest 2024, held at Sacred Heart Theological College in Mawlai here.
The event, themed ‘Young People: The Pilgrims of Hope’, featured distinguished guests, including cabinet minister Ampareen Lyngdoh and Rev Fr John Zosiama.
Lyngdoh emphasised their role in shaping the future of Meghalaya. She urged them to maintain a balance of love and commitment, cautioning against allowing these values to undermine their faith.
In his homily, Rev Fr Zosiama, the Provincial of Shillong Province, encouraged the youngsters to become beacons of hope and encouragement for one another. He urged them to embark on a lifelong journey as pilgrims of hope, spreading positivity and inspiration.
The event featured captivating dance and musical performances that mesmerised the audience with an outpouring of creativity and inspiration.
