Shillong, Mar 20: S10 Healthcare and Shillong Police FT will clash in the final of Big FM’s Big Futsal Fest 2026 on Saturday after both came through their respective semifinals today at the Thrive Sports Arena in Langkyrding here.
In the first match, S10 Healthcare took on last edition’s runners-up Meghalaya Secretariat Home Guards side in a game of two halves. After being outplayed in the first half, the Home Guards returned to the field with renewed determination and a clear shift in mindset. However, their late resurgence was not enough to see them through as S10 Healthcare eventually won 5-2 with Russell C Lyngdoh Nongkynrih helping himself to a hat-trick.
The second semifinal featured Shillong Police FT against the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly in what turned out to be another gripping contest. Shillong Police, who have steadily grown into tournament favourites, displayed their trademark confidence and cohesion. Despite a spirited challenge from the Assembly side, Shillong Police maintained control in key moments, capitalising on their chances to seal a convincing 3-1 win and advance to the final.
With these results, the stage is now set for a blockbuster final between S10 Healthcare and Shillong Police FT. The final will kick off at 5PM but before that there will be a contest for third place between Meghalaya Secretariat Home Guards and Meghalaya Legislative Assembly. All are invited to witness the grand finale and celebrate the spirit of futsal at its very best.
