Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Shillong on a two-day visit today evening.
During his maiden visit to Meghalaya, Bhagwat is scheduled to meet with civil society groups and well-wishers where he will discuss upon the present development of the organisation, a RSS functionary said.
However, it is unclear if the top RSS leadership will interact with any of the political leaders of the state.
He will also interact with the Meghalaya’s RSS functionaries where he will discuss and discuss on matters related to the Sangh in the state.
The RSS Chief will also deliver a lecture on Sunday on issues like environment protection, village upliftment and values of family, society as well as the nation.
Bhagwat will depart from Shillong on September 26.
