Shillong, Feb 4: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has confirmed that Rs 2000 was stolen from the Stamp & Registration department with only one person involved in the burglary.
KHADC Chief Executive Member Winston Tony Lyngdoh today said the incident happened at around 6 am on February 2. He said no official documents are missing and footage from the CCTV shows only one person was involved in the crime.
Lyngdoh said an FIR has been lodged at Lumdiengjri Police Station and police have launched an investigation.
