Shillong, Aug 30: The Meghalaya Roll Ball Association celebrated National Sports Day today by hosting the second Sub-Junior Open to All Roll Ball Championship at St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong.
The championship drew four districts in the Boys’ category – East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, West Jaintia Hills, and East Jaintia Hills – and two districts in the Girls’ category – West Khasi Hills and East Khasi Hills.
In the Boys’ division, East Khasi Hills clinched the Champion’s title, defeating tough opponents, while West Khasi Hills and West Jaintia Hills secured the first and second Runner-up positions respectively.
In the Girls’ division, West Khasi Hills lifted the trophy, with East Khasi Hills finishing as first Runner-up.
The matches witnessed intense clashes and exceptional skills, drawing loud cheers from the crowd. Officials praised the players’ spirit and affirmed that the sport is steadily growing in Meghalaya, with the Association committed to taking Roll Ball to new heights.
