Shillong, Sep 15: The Additional Deputy Commissioner Pynursla Civil Sub-Division informed today that closure timing of the road between Laitlyngkot and Lyngkyrdem (Chainage Kms 24+00 – 37+00) will remain in force.
The closure will continue from 11: 30 am to 4 pm and 9 pm to 4 am.
The present closure arrangement will be temporary and on a daily basis for a period effective from September 16 to September 30, 2025.
“A subsequent notice shall be issued with restrictive timings that will be changed keeping in view the requirements,” the notice said.
All traffic will be permitted to cross from both Lyngkyrdem and Laitlyngkot latest by 11:30 am after which from 12 noon onwards, construction works will be started by the concerned company along the said stretch.
All commuters and members of the public are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution while commuting through this stretch and to avoid taking non— essential travel during or immediately after heavy rainfall and also during night-time.
Emergency health services will be facilitated during the closure periods and they may contact the Pynursla Police Station at 6909217154 for any co-ordination requirement with the construction company.
