The Synjuk ki Seng Samla Shnong (SSSS) of Ri-Bhoi joined hands with the Nongpoh branch of HDFC Bank to give blood in a donation drive at the Nongpoh Civil Hospital today.
This initiative witnessed a good turnout, with individuals from diverse backgrounds coming forward to contribute.
At the forefront were Banphrang Syiem, the adviser of SSSS Ri-Bhoi, and Aristone Ryndongsngi, chairman of SSSS Ri-Bhoi.
“Blood donation not only extends a lifeline to those in critical need but also promotes our own health and vitality,” Ryndongsngi affirmed. Dismissing concerns, he reassured prospective donors of the absolute safety and harmlessness of the process.
He appealed to the community to cast aside any apprehensions and actively engage in this life-affirming endeavour.
The SSSS Ri-Bhoi intends to establish a dedicated blood donation cell, fostering a close partnership with the blood bank at the local civil hospital, which will operate as a rapid response unit to ensure swift assistance to individuals urgently in need of blood transfusions.
