The Synjuk ki Rangbah Shnong of Ri Bhoi District has urged Deputy Commissioner Abhilash Baranwal to extend the deadline to link Ration-Aadhaar.
The synjuk, led by its chairman BB Makdoh, met with the Deputy Commissioner and submitted a memorandum highlighting several issues concerning the residents.
According to the traditional heads, many residents are facing difficulties in linking their ration cards with Aadhaar.
The other issues placed are release of material bills under the MGNREGA scheme, construction of a seven foot over-bridge along the National Highway-6 to improve pedestrian safety and proper guidelines on the appointment of Village Defence Party (VDP) members in every village.
Secretary of the synjuk, P.B. Sylliang told reporters that the meeting was satisfactory as the Deputy Commissioner assured that he would look into the important matters raised.
