During the drive, Additional Superintendent of Police J Rabha addressed truck drivers, emphasising the importance of road safety and adherence to traffic laws. His lecture was part of a broader initiative to create mass awareness among drivers, particularly those operating heavy vehicles.
Several drivers found violating traffic rules were fined.
The Ri-Bhoi police assured that such checking drives will continue to enhance road safety and instill discipline among road users.
