The Ri Bhoi dorbar has expressed concern on the frequent disruption of electricity in the district.
Stating that the frequent power cuts continue to disturb the population, president of the dorbar R.B. Shadap said they will meet Power Minister Prestone Tynsong to look into the matter.
Shadap said the MeECL has failed to provide uninterrupted power supply not just in the rural areas of Ri Bhoi but in Nongpoh, which is the district headquarter.
Despite power cuts consumers will always have to pay their monthly bill even if their requirement is never met.
