Ri-Bhoi won three out of four titles at the 1st Sub-Junior and 2nd Senior Roll Ball Championship 2025, which ended here yesterday.
Organised by the Meghalaya Roll Ball Association and East Khasi Hills Roll Ball Association in collaboration with St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, four districts participated – Ri-Bhoi, East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills and West Jaintia Hills.
Ri-Bhoi won the sub-junior boys’, sub-junior girls’ and senior boys’ titles, while West Khasi Hills were champions of the senior girls’ category.
The runners up were East Khasi Hills in sub-junior boys’, senior boys’ and senior girls’ and West Khasi Hills in sub-junior girls’. Third place was claimed by West Jaintia Hills (sub-junior boys’ and senior boys’), East Khasi HIlls (sub-junior girls’) and Ri-Bhoi (senior girls).
The 4th Meghalaya Speed Skating Championship 2025, organised by the Meghalaya Roller Skating Association, was also held at the same time, also in collaboration with St Anthony’s HSS. More than 150 participants vied for the title.
Meghalaya State Olympic Association working president John F Kharshiing was present on the final day.
