Peeved with the difficulties they face in travelling along the Bhoirymbong to Khyndewso road, residents took out a public rally today demanding that it be black-topped.
The rally took place on Saturday in Umraling village.
Expressing their plight, headman of Khyndewso, Dominic Lamare, and a few womenfolk said that they have been eagerly waiting for a proper road but these hopes have remained just a dream because of the failings of the government.
During the protest, women also held a fishing competition among themselves in the worst parts of the road as an insult towards the Public Works Department and the state government.
