A residential training under Jal Jeevan Mission for Village Water and Sanitation Committees (VWSCs) of South West Khasi Hills district concluded today with the distribution of certificates to participants.
The training programme held for four days was organised by the University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM) and supported by the Ministry of Jal Shakti and the State PHE department.
PHE Water Analyst, Zera Wahlang spoke about the different types of treating water that include Ph test, turbidity test, total hardness, chloride test, free chlorine, iron (fe), Nitrate, fluoride and bacteriological test.
The master trainer of the training included Dr. Nibedita Paul, PD, KRC, Jal Jeevan Mission, P.P. Sharma, Technical Expert, JJM, Rituparna Borkataki, MIS Expert, JJM and Onessimos Shangdiar, Training Coordinator.
