Social activist, S Banshai Marbaniang has urged the Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank (MCAB) to install an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in Mawsynram.
Pointing out that the branch in Mawsynram has more than 70,000 customers, which also caters to people from Tyrsad areas to Ranikor C&RD Block, Marbaniang said installing an ATM machine would prevent long queue in the bank.
He said customers have to wait for long hours even for updating their passbooks and cash withdrawal especially during market days.
Based on the concerns Marbaniang met MCAB Managing Director, O. Nongbri in Shillong yesterday and submitted a memorandum with the request.
