Shillong, Sep 18: The office of the District Youth Officer-Mera Yuva Bharat Ri-Bhoi has announced the launch of the second edition of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) a flagship initiative aimed at providing India’s youth (aged 15-29 years) with a national platform to present their ideas directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Deputy Director Michael Thangminlien Mate said young people in the age group of 15–29 years can articulate their innovative ideas on various sector specific themes such as agriculture, skill development, governance, space technology etc, and suggest solutions in these sectors. The state level winners get the opportunity to the youth to make presentations before the Prime Minister on January 12 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi during the National Youth Festival.
He informed that the selection process begins with the Viksit Bharat Quiz (September 1 to October 15), which is a nationwide online quiz on MYBharat portal (mybharat.gov.in). Evaluation and selection of winners will be done during October 16 to 21 while winners will be announced on October 22.
Not more than 3 lakh participants selected from the Quiz round will proceed to stage II, that is, the Viksit Bharat Essay Challenge (October 23 to November 5).
Stage III is the Viksit Bharat PPT Challenge-State Level (November 24 to December 8) to be followed by the final round (Stage IV), the Viksit Bharat Championship, National Youth Festival in Delhi from January 10 to 12, 2026.
The quiz consists of multiple-choice questions and will take only 15 minutes to answer and the last date is 15th Oct 2025. Every completed attempt will be issued a ‘Certificate of Participation’ (generated) from the Ministry.
All youths are encouraged to participate in the quiz round as soon as possible to share ideas, showcase leadership, and contribute meaningfully to the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, Mate urged,
Heads of educational Institutes have also been requested to encourage the youths to participate in the quiz.
