Nongpoh, Apr 10: The Lum Umpih unit of the Ri-Bhoi Youth Federation (RBYF) today felicitated Lasarapynbiang Nongbri for securing eighth position in the SSLC examination, the results of which were announced earlier this week, with 568 marks.
Nongbri, a student of St Michael’s Higher Secondary School in Umsning, and a resident of Lum Umpih, brought pride not only to her family but also to her village and the entire Ri-Bhoi district, the RBYF said.
At the same occasion, the RBYF also donated 50 chairs to Persara Secondary School as a contribution towards the school’s needs.
Leaders of the RBYF expressed immense pride in Nongbri’s achievement and encouraged her to continue excelling in her higher studies. They also urged other students to work hard and remain dedicated to their goals.
