The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has led to the decision to keep Raj Bhavan closed to the general public on January 25 and 26 on the occasion of Republic Day.
This was informed by the Deputy Secretary to the Governor of Meghalaya today.
Traditionally Raj Bhavans across the country are open to the public, known as ‘At Home’ events, on special days in the calendar, such as Republic Day.
The Shillong Raj Bhavan was also closed to the public for last year’s Independence Day.
