Bisharlang Pyngrope, the general secretary of Mawlyngngad Sports Social and Cultural Club was appointed as the secretary of football of the State by the Talent Search Sports Development Association, India with the aim to find out the players from different places with the passion for sports particularly football and to provide them a platform and environment where they can practice and improve their skills with the help of the best coaching, domestic camps, sports events along with national and international exposure and to help those identified players financially.
This appointment was announced by the Director of the TSSDA, India, Nidhi Kumari recently.
A resident of Mawlyngngad village in East Khasi Hills, Pyngrope is the former Principal of TMT Higher Secondary School, Pfütsero, Nagaland and is presently working at St. Michael’s Higher Secondary School, Umsning.
Besides being the Meghalaya State convener of All India Education Forum (AIEF), Pyngrope is also the recipient of Bharat Shiksha Ratna Award 2014, District Teacher’s Award 2015 from the Department of School Education, Government of Nagaland, Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award 2015, Best Indian Educationist Award 2016 and State Level Teacher Award 2016 from the Department of School Education, Government of Nagaland.
Besides being a great educationist, Pyngrope too has helped a number of players of the State in improving their skills and talents in the field of football especially those who come from the underprivileged family. He is also the main person who will run the football coaching centre of the Stadium FC Bangalore, Shillong Centre which will be opened soon.
