The Division of Animal and Fisheries Science (DAFS) at the ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region at Umiam recently concluded a five-day entrepreneurship development programme (EDP) focusing on ‘Value-added fish product preparation and hygienic packaging.’
The event, held from March 4-8, was sponsored by the Agri-Business Incubation (ABI) Centre and attracted participants from North East states. Participants received hands-on training in hygienic packaging and the preparation of various value-added fish products, including fish pickle, sausage, nuggets, fish cutlets, fish balls and fish fingers.
The programme’s valedictory session was graced by the institute’s director, VK Mishra.
