Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong today resumed his duties after more than one month of being under medical treatment.
Tynsong came to his office at the State Secretariat today and looked physically fit.
“I have started working,” he told media persons.
It may be mentioned that the deputy chief minister was first admitted to the ICU under the Neurosurgery Department of Nazareth Hospital here on September 9 where it was detected that he had a subdural haemorrhage (SDH) near his brain.
He was shifted to Apollo Hospital, New Delhi on September 11 for further medical treatment.
On September 12, Tynsong underwent a skull operation at the Apollo Hospital where he was admitted for neurosurgical treatment for SDH.
The surgery was known as left fronto temporal parietal craniotomy for evacuation of SDH.
He was discharged from Apollo Hospital on September 18.
Due to his health condition, Tynsong took a long rest from official duties although he met people from his constituency at his home in Pohkseh here.
During the recent tour of flood-hit Garo Hills, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma was accompanied by another Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar.
