Umsning MLA Dr Celestine Lyngdoh, church leaders and committee members conducted an inspection today at the site that will host a synod of the Presbyterian Church next year.
During the inspection of the Nongthymmai neighbourhood, it was found that the place has been projected as a future football ground and therefore requires land development and proper road connectivity.
The church leaders and the village expressed confidence that, with the initiative and efforts of the MLA and government departments, the synod will be held successfully. They urged the Public Works Department to provide better road connectivity to the site before the synod and also urged the Public Health Engineering Department to provide water connection as the village presently faces acute water problems.
