The Khasi Students Union in Mawkyrwat has raised concern over the poor connectivity of Jio mobile network and asked the company to restore in a week.
The KSU opined that since the start of the pandemic, almost all official works were now taking place through the online process and good network connectivity has become essential in nature especially to students who have to sit for online classes.
KSU Mawkyrwat Circle president, Pauldip Tongwah said that despite the need for connectivity, Jio is providing very poor service and its network it is getting poorer day by day whereas the company continues to amass money through recharges without giving perfect service.
Tongwah said Jio should fix its network connectivity within a week and warned that the students union would demand for its closure.
