The District Election Officer of East Khasi Hills has ordered that all political workers who have been brought from outside the constituency they are working in should leave the said constituency by Saturday evening.
Given that campaigning has to end at 4pm on Saturday, the presence of the outside party workers beyond that point would be unnecessary.
The order applies to political functionaries, party workers, procession functionaries and campaign functionaries, etc who have been brought from outside the constituency and who are not voters of the constituency and the political parties they represent have been tasked with ensuring that they leave by the stated time.
