The office of the District Medical & Health Officer, East Khasi Hills, will conduct the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme (IPPI) 2021 in the district tomorrow from 9 am to 4 pm in the arranged booths throughout the district to be followed by house to house search and coverage activity on February 2 and 30.
The goal of the programme is to eradicate Poliomyelitis and to vaccinate all children under five years of age against polio virus in the district and the State in general.
The Health Department has requested all parents to bring their children below five years of age to the arranged booths in their respective locality for vaccination. Headmen, NGOs, church leaders etc were also requested to join hands with the department for the success of the programme
