The West Jaiñtia Hills district police have made arrangements for vehicle owners and drivers to fix radium reflectors on their vehicles to curb road accidents.
Besides the reflectors, first-aid boxes will be provided till May 31.
Free services will be provided for two wheelers, etching and two wheelers radium reflector, the West Jaiñtia Hills police said in a statement.
For four wheelers etching service charge will be at Rs. 20, four wheelers radium reflector service charge at Rs 50, for six wheelers goods carrier etching at Rs. 30, Rs 100 for six wheelers goods carrier radium reflector and for 10 wheelers Radium reflector, first-aid box and fire stop at Rs. 300.
“This facility is offered for free of cost for all types of government vehicles,” the Superintendent of Police said urging vehicles owners and drivers to make use of the facility.
The district police said the department has decided to strictly implement the Central Motor Rules and all OCs and IC of West Jaiñtia Hills are asked to ensure that radium reflectors to be fixed on maximum number of vehicles.
Complaints from customers will be enquired by concerned OCs and ICs and the authorization which was granted to a company in Uttar Pradesh will be cancelled, the SP said.
