The Meghalaya Home Department today transferred and posted East Jaintia Hills Superintendent of Police (SP) Jagpal Singh Dhanoa as SP, Ri-Bhoi District.
It may be mentioned that the Meghalaya High Court had yesterday ordered the immediate transfer of Dhanoa for his failure to stop illegal mining and transportation of coal in East Jaintia Hills.
Meanwhile, Giri Prasad M who is the current SP of Ri Bhoi District has been transferred and posted as SP of East Jaintia Hills.
Baniateilang Diengngan, Deputy Commandant, 6th MLP Battalion, Umran was transferred and posted as the Additional SP, East Jaintia Hills.
Stephen A. Rynjah, Superintendent of Police, Anti Infiltration Directorate, Tura was transferred and posted as the SP, East Garo Hills.
Siddharth Kumar Ambedkar, SP, East Garo Hills was transferred and posted as the Commandant, 5th MLP Battalion.
Meanwhile, C V S Reddy who is Deputy Inspector General of Police (WR), Tura was transferred and posted as the Deputy Inspector General of Police, CID, Shillong against the existing vacancy.
Billy Graham Marak, Commandant, 5th MLP Battalion, Samanda was transferred and posted as the Superintendent of Police, Anti Infiltration Directorate, Tura.
Banraplang Jyrwa, Additional Superintendent of Police, East Jaintia Hills is transferred and posted as the Deputy Commandant, 6th MLP Battalion, Umran.
Gilbert Amrstrong Lyngdoh Marshillong, Assistant Commandant, 3rd MLP Battalion, Sahbsein is transferred and posted as the Assistant Commandant, 4th MLP Battalion, Sohpian against the existing vacancy.
Nawab Thorem, Deputy Superintendent of Police, CID, Shillong is transferred and posted as the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Anti Infiltration Directorate against the existing vacancy.
Naman Kumar was posted as Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Raksamgre against the existing vacancy while Dewansh Pandey was posted as Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Amlarem against the existing vacancy.
