The West Jaiñtia Hills police arrested a suspected militant belonging to the National Liberation Front of Bodoland on Monday, it was revealed by Assistant Inspector General of Police GK Iangrai today.
The militant, whose name was not released, is “known for notorious criminal activities”, such as kidnapping and murder in East and West Jaintia Hills and Ri-Bhoi, Iangrai informed through a press statement.
He added that incriminating evidence was recovered from the militant’s possession. The suspect has been handed over to Ri-Bhoi police in connection with criminal cases registered against him there.
