Meghalaya police aspirants will stage a protest in the city on September 19 against the result delay.
The candidates who have applied for various posts in the police department told a press conference today that applications were made since 2019. They said that though the Physical Efficiency Test was conducted in November 2021 the result for the written test conducted in February this year is yet to be declared.
Informing that when they approached Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui they were told that the delay is due to the roster system, the candidates however said that they are fed up with the delay since they will still have to go through the personal interview as well.
The sit in demonstration will be held near the MBOSE office and the candidates have urged parents to join the protest.
