The Pipe Band of the Central Training Institute of Civil Defence and Home Guards, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong today played for the student of Loyola College in Williamnagar to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Statehood.
The musical event was organised by the District Training Centre Home Guards in East Garo Hills which was also attended by the public.
The band performed patriotic songs and military tunes to much to the delight of the students and others in attendance.
The band display is one of the events in the yearlong celebration of Meghalaya’s statehood which the Civil Defence and Home Guards Department has chalked out for the year.
