A pedestrian was injured when a maruti car veered off onto the footpath at IGP point in the city today.
The victim has been identified as one Jenti Shira (49), a resident of Motinagar.
The incident occurred around 3pm. The Maruti Suzuki 800, bearing registration number WB 22U 9510 was driven by one Wallambok Pohlang, who lost control of the vehicle and ramped onto the footpath and hit Shira.
The victim received minor injuries on the head, eyes and right hand, and was taken to Shillong Civil Hospital for treatment.
