Two dorbar shnongs in South West Khasi Hills district took out a peace rally today to condemn the brutal murder of a 22 year old youth on April 2.
Pynskhemlang Lyngkhoi was found dead near a paddy field with injuries to the neck, right hand and covered in bruises near a paddy field at Riatthawlong in Mawkyrwat.
Lyngkhoi had left his home in Nongbah Marshillong on March 31 at 9 pm and his body was recovered on April 2.
The peace rally was organised by the dorbar shnongs of Marshilong and Nongbah-Marshilong in collaboration with the Seng Kynthei of both the villages.
The rally began from Ïew-ïohwan and culminated near the State Bank of India, Mawkyrwat Branch.
