In order to ensure that there is no spread of coronavirus at funeral gatherings, the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills has today said that the maximum number of persons permitted to attend the funeral is 30.
The order also stated that family and relatives should ensure that attendees do not stay for long at the funeral. It also said that serving of meals for the guests should be avoided.
The order also said that social distancing of six feet is to be strictly maintained, handshakes /body contact should be avoided as far as possible and hand sanitisers are to be provided to the attendees and should be used frequently.
