The Department of Posts, North East Circle, in association with the Department of Arts and Culture and the North East Philatelic Society, organised an Online Philately Exhibition to celebrate “Azadi Ke Amrit Mohotsav” for India’s 75th Independence Day.
The exhibition was inaugurated today by Amitabh Kharkwal, Chief Postmaster General, North East Circle, Shillong. The exhibition will continue till August 15.
Many philatelists from the North East states are participating in the exhibition and will be displaying varieties of postage stamps on themes like the freedom struggle, ‘India@75’, etc. The general public can visit the exhibition at www.indiaat75ne.com.
Other dignitaries present at the launch function were Arts and Culture Joint Secretary KL Nongbri, Director of Postal Services Subhash Chandra Barik, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Meghalaya, KI Singh and North East Philatelic Society General Secretary Suman Deb.
