Shillong, Mar 20: Youth from Meghalaya have been invited to join Yuva Sangam Phase 6, the central government’s cross-cultural youth exposure programme.
The Union Ministry of Education launched the online registration portal yesterday. The point of the programme is to strengthen emotional bonds and foster mutual understanding among young citizens from different states and territories. The initiative promotes the spirit of “Unity in Diversity” by facilitating structured exposure visits between paired states/territories.
Meghalaya has been partnered with Telangana for Phase 6 and IIM Shillong will lead the exchange.
Participants from Meghalaya are set to visit National Institute of Technology Warangal as part of an immersive cultural and educational exchange.
Interested youth in the age group of 18-30, including students of higher education institutions, NSS/NYKS volunteers and young professionals are eligible to apply through the official portal at: https://ebsb.aicte-india.org and https://ekbharat.gov.in
Phase 5 witnessed more than 46,000 registrations from across the country.
In Phase 6, 22 higher education institutions have been identified as nodal institutes across the country. Selected participants from Meghalaya will undertake five to seven-day educational and cultural tours (excluding travel days) to Telangana.
