One person was killed and three were injured when a pickup truck bearing registration number AS-26C-6146 fell into a deep gorge in Ranikor-Nongjri area under South West Khasi Hill district.
The incident occurred on November 14 at around 12:30 am while the truck was on its way to Nongjri carrying auto spare parts, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Asadul Nobi (20) of Nachanjuri in Assam. The others who were injured are Yakup Islam (25) of Bogajanpara, Gopal Das (25) of Attani Bafar, Dubri, Assam and Gulap Mustafah (25) from Abdul Hasanpur.
