Editor,
I am writing to bring to public attention a series of disappointing experiences encountered by visitors at Thrills Fun Park in Mawlein Ladsharai, particularly on Independence Day.
On August 15th during the Independence Day of India, many visitors including those who had traveled from long distances, were disheartened when the park suddenly closed around 3:30 PM without any prior notice or clear explanation from the staff. When approached, the workers were unable or unwilling to provide reasons for the closure, simply stating they did not know the names of the park’s owners or responsible authorities. This lack of transparency and communication caused confusion and sadness among visitors.
Furthermore, concerns about the park’s entry and pricing policies were evident. Visitors observed that entry was granted after charging large amounts of money, with no clear system or respect for customers’ rights. Inside the park, only a few people were seen enjoying the rides and games, as many were left dissatisfied by the high charges imposed on all activities. The fees applied—even for short play durations—were considered excessive and made the experience unaffordable for many families.
These issues reflect poorly on the management’s commitment to customer fairness and transparency, especially during important occasions like Independence Day, when families expect to celebrate with dignity and enjoyment.
I urge the park authorities to clearly communicate their policies, improve transparency about management and ownership, and review pricing structures to be fair and accessible. Addressing these concerns would restore public confidence and enhance visitor satisfaction.
