The National People’s Party (NPP), Mawkyrwat block has decided to field a retired MCS officer, H. Stalyne Diengdoh as its candidate for the 2023 assembly elections.
Diengdoh was welcomed at a programme organised at Nativity, in Mawkyrwat today which was attended Nongstoiñ MLA, Macmillan Byrsat, MLA and MDC of Mawshynrut, Gigur Myrthong, NPYF state president Kitborlang Nongrem and others.
Speaking at the function, Byrsat said that the NPP party would be the single largest party in 2023 in the State. He asserted that in Khasi Hills alone the party would gain 18 to 20 seats.
He said with Diengdoh, the party would achieve greater heights in Mawkyrwat and urged party workers to work hard and give their all in serving the people.
