Rongrong MDC, Rinaldo K Sangma today said that people of North Garo Hills will bring back former chief minister Mukul Sangma to power.
Rinaldo was addressing a meeting to constitute the block Trinamool Congress Committee in Resubelpara. He said the huge turnout of societal leaders from every nook and corner of Resubelpara Assembly constituency shows that the people’s mandate, faith and trust still lies intact with their leader.
He said that the people of North Garo Hills are indebted to Mukul Sangma for his past developmental works in the district and especially in Resubelpara. “The people of North Garo Hills in all the four constituencies will bring him back to power,” he added.
The meeting was also attended by TMC youth leader and aspiring candidate for Daddengre constituency, Rupa M Marak where deliberations were made on how to strengthen the party at the Assembly level and grass root polling booth level ahead of 2023 elections.
Marak spoke of mismanagement and misgovernance by the ruling NPP led MDA government. He stated that Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has malafide intensions in dealing with the border dispute.
“The people of Garo hills need to come together to oust such kind of leaders who have vested interest. Time has come to change the ruling governance in the interest of our Garo people and Meghalaya as a whole,” he said.
Meanwhile the Resubelpara TMC unanimously selected and nominated Pildash Marak and Sengjrang Sangma as President and Secretary respectively of the Block Trinamool Congress Committee.
