The Nongrang clan celebrated the appointment of Idashisha Nongrang as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Meghalaya.
The clan, who are the descendants of Thiabon Nongrang, expressed immense joy and pride in her significant achievement during a felicitation event held in Umbir village, Ri Bhoi district.
Clan elders Switbert Nongrang, Diwarson Nongrang and other members were present during the programme. They highlighted the importance of her role in serving the community and hoped that Iadashisha will dedicate her efforts to community service, fostering peace and harmony in Meghalaya.
The DGP expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the clan and said she is inspired to provide the best service for the betterment of the people of the state, especially in maintaining peace and harmony.
She also expressed deep appreciation to her clan and relatives for their unwavering support throughout her life journey and said she is committed to deliver her service to all sections of the people.
