Shillong, Apr 6: Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem has expressed satisfaction as the first phase of the Nongpoh-Umden-Sonapur road project reaches 95 per cent completion.
Highlighting the transformative impact of the route, Syiem noted that the road has already significantly shortened travel times, fulfilling a long-held dream for the region.
As work shifts toward the second phase, the legislator has issued clear instructions to department officials and contractors to ensure the highest standards of execution.
Once fully finished, this vital road is set to benefit over 150 villages, marking a major milestone in local connectivity and rural development.
